Lemos once again had three RBI in the contest. Juniors Kim•berly LeComte, Kristina Myles, freshman Mallory Wyatt, and sophomore Brooke Webster all contributed two RBI in the contest.
The formula was pretty cut and dry for the WTAMU baseball team coming into their series with Tarleton on April 29-30 at Wilder Park. For the Buffs to make the LSC tournament, they had to have a sweep of the #22 ranked Texans.
It’s been said if you’re going to play a non-conference opponent you might as well take on someone really good. That’s exactly what the #23 ranked WTAMU Lady Buffs did on April 26 as they took on Lubbock Christian who is a member of the NAIA and ranked #7 in the nation at Lady Buff Yard.
The WTAMU Buffs baseball team completed their weekend series with the Angelo State Rams with a doubleheader on April 23. The Rams completed a sweep of the Buffs via a pair of walk-off victories. Angelo took game one with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, earning a dramatic 9-8 victory. In game two, a WT error gave the Rams the 10-9 win.

Lady Buff yard played host to two ranked teams on the weekend of April 15-16 as the #23 ranked WTAMU Lady Buffs took on the #7 ranked Angelo State Rambelles in a three game series.
Since beginning LSC South play, the #23 ranked WTAMU Lady Buffs have struggled to find their rhythm. WT looked to turn things around April 8-9 as they traveled to Kingsville to take on the Javelinas of Texas A&M Kingsville.
With only three series’ left in LSC play, every win is important for WTAMU Buffs if they are to make it into the conference tournament. WT was looking to improve its position as they took on Southeastern Oklahoma State on April 8-9 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Every year the Lone Star Conference puts together a crossover tournament to pit the North division against the South division in a weekend of competitive softball. The 2011 edition promised to be one of the best ever with multiple ranked teams such as #2 ranked Angelo State and the #18 WTAMU Lady Buffs.
After a frustrating series against Kingsville last time out in conference play, the WTAMU baseball team was looking to rebound against East Central. The two teams played a crucial three game series at Wilder Park on April 1-2 in Canyon.
While the #18 ranked WTAMU Buff baseball team has been playing well this season thus far, it’s been the road that has been unkind to the maroon and white. WT looked to put an end to their road struggles on March 25-26 as they took on Texas A&M Kingsville at Nolan Ryan Field in Kingsville.
The WTAMU football program has become very successful over the past few seasons and brought WT into the national spotlight. One big reason for the national attention is the number of former Buff football players that now play in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League.
