- 11:52: WTAMU announced on Facebook and Twitter that they would decide whether or not to close campus at 5 AM on Monday.
- 12:36: WT student Daniel Zwede starts #CloseWT hashtag on Twitter.
- 5:24: WT announces on Facebook and Twitter that campus is closed Feb. 25, 2013.
- 5:31: Amarillo Globe-News publishes an article about the cancellation.

- 6:13: WT announces on Facebook and Twitter that the Dining Hall is still open but the Food Court and C Stores are closed.
- 6:30: WT announces on Facebook and Twitter that campus will be closed on Tuesday.
