Former President Bush cycles through Palo Duro Canyon for Warrior 100K

[ 2 ] April 28, 2012 |

Bush: If these two can exercise, [Referring to Stockwell and Dan Gade. Both lost their leg during combat.] surely citizens around our country can exercise. Staying fit is an important part of keeping mentally fit.

Maria: Gade, a U.S Army major says there were a couple of places around the route that, because of his leg amputation, are too steep. However, there were people positioned at these locations to help those who needed it.

Gade: I think that is a very cool micro view of what the American people are doing with returning veterans in the macro view, which is waiting for guys who need help and helping them when they need help, but not giving them help when they don’t need help. I think that is very special and so this has been a really cool chance for me to kind of see what the American people are doing in a tiny little view of the big picture.

Maria: Bush says the best way to support the Wounded Warriors locally is to help find jobs for these warriors with diverse skill sets.

Bush: It seems like to me if you have somebody working with you that says ‘look I am not a selfish person, I am willing to serve something greater than myself,’ well that is what all these vets have done.

It is so wonderful to see these “GREAT” warriors riding the canyon, and having a decent time with there friend. Former President George W. Bush. Who from what I have heard gave no quarter, and like wise asked for none to be given to him, because of his age. Thank you so much Sir for what you have done with these “TRUE” American heroes. To many folk in this nation feel that the Holly-Weird types are heroes, but in my book they are nothing more than “ZEROES”. As I have already said the “THE TRUE AMERICAN HERO WAS ON THIS BIKE RIDE WITH PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH”. God Bless one, and all.
