National Weather Service alerts the Panhandle

The National Weather Service issued a blowing dust advisory, a high wind warning, a fire warning and a red flag warning for Potter and Randall counties.

They report that the high wind warning and the blowing dust advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday evening for the Texas Panhandle. Sustained southwest winds of 35 mph to 50 mph with wind guts up to 75 mph can be expected.

The red flag warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. for the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. Critical fire weather conditions can be expected due to the high winds and low relative humidity through 6 p.m. with improving conditions after.

A mandatory evacuation has been ordered for the following:

Potter

Mesilla Park, El Rancho, Webb Road.

Randall

Richland Acres, Ranch Acres, Timbercreek Canyon, Palisades, Tangle Aire, Lake Tanglewood.
