Letter From the Editor: Merry Christmas!

3 December 2009 1,275 views View Comments

xmas1We hope you have had a great semester here at WTAMU, and have also enjoyed the new changes of the Prairie. This is the last issue this year, and we wanted to go out with a BANG!

This Christmas issue will definitely put you in the holiday spirit. Also, you will learn quite a bit about some teachers and athletes here on campus and what they like to do during the holidays. You will also get an inside glimpse of the Prairie staff and what they like about Christmas.

We hope you join us again Spring 2010, and continue reading this great magazine. Have a safe and happy holiday! Merry Christmas!

To all the students at my Alma Mater,
When I attended it was West Texas State University. Merry Christmas. On Jesus' birthday don't forget to give Jesus a birthday gift. What does He want? The scriptures say, "As you have done unto the least of these so also have you done unto Me." So, Jesus would want you to give unto the "least of these". That is, those who have little or nothing. The busiest shopping day of the year is Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Want to know the SECOND busiest day? The day after Christmas when people return all the things they got for Christmas that they don't want. A lot of the time we end up giving gifts that people don't even want, much less, need. We need to change the way we think. This year give something to someone who needs it. Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Show love to the lonely. Jesus will thank you and it will be a gift that they will return in kind to another in need later on. Blessings go forward. God bless and keep you all. Have a Merry Christmas.
