This week, with Thanksgiving coming up, I began to think about things I am truly thankful for, and here is my list:
I’m thankful for my Cowboys being 6-3, though they look ugly doing it and still need a new quarterback.
I’m thankful for good food like Thai Spice or Sharky’s Burrito Co, but I am not thankful for the way they make me feel afterwards. I’m thankful for having a roof over my head, though it smells funny because my neighbor is a chain smoker.
I’m thankful for the advances in technology that make 3D movies possible (see my review at the bottom of this page). While we’re on the subject of movies, I’m thankful for any movie with Sandra Bullock. I’m thankful for Friends… that show is hilarious.
I’m thankful for my family; they are always there for me. I’m thankful for my dog that does her best to keep me in shape with random “chases” down he block. I’m thankful for Zebra print because my girlfriend looks so good in it. And I’m thankful for that same girlfriend who keeps promising she’ll cook… next week.
I’m thankful for my truck and means to get around, but not thankful for the price of the gas I have to buy to keep it running. I am thankful for swine flu because it makes for a great excuse to miss class, and it makes people finally wash their hands.
I’m thankful for this opportunity to speak my mind without rebuke from others. I’m thankful for this school for giving me the true college experience; it drains my money just enough to where I have none for myself.
I am truly thankful for everything I have, jokes and sarcasm aside. I am a very lucky man to have all the things I do. Though things in my life may not be perfect, it is a perfect life, and for that I’m thankful.
This Thanksgiving, be sure to think about all the little things you are thankful for, and enjoy the season.
