Ok, so this week I decided to get away from school altogether and talk about something that’s been on my mind my entire life. That’s right I want to talk about super powers. Lately, the movie industry has bombarded us with superhero movies: X-Men, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man and I’ve heard rumors of a Justice League Movie. So it makes one wonder, what
super power is the best?
I like to take it to a different level, and rather than use my powers for justice and fighting crime, I often wonder which power would be the best to have for everyday use. So here are your options:

#1: Flight
1. The power of FLIGHT
Of course this is the most often thought of, but does it translate to real life? YES! Duh, how cool would it be to wake up, get ready for class or work and fly to your class or workplace? No more yelling at people in traffic and no praying that you make it on an empty tank because you’re running late and don’t have time to fill up. Or take it a step further. No more searching for the cheapest gas prices in town, EVER. Now, you would have to worry about flying around during hunting season, and you wouldn’t beable to carry people around. But I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

#2: Super Strength
2. The power of SUPER STRENGTH
Now this one is interesting; is it really necessary? You hear the stories of mothers getting adrenaline rushes and lifting cars off of their babies, but how often does your child end up under a car? It could be useful in sports; I guarantee if our football team had it they wouldn’t be 1-3. Cleaning would also be more thorough as you could hold the couch up while you vacuum. But I think this is most appealing to the male who wants to show off. Steroids are made to try and give superhuman strength to men trying to impress everyone; this would be the same thing without needles or nasty side effects. (All guys on steroids reading this, don’t beat me up I admire your stature).

#3: Telekineses
3. The power of TELEKINESIS
That’s right, controlling stuff with your mind. That would be pretty sweet for sure. You could open the fridge and get a beverage all from the comfort of your couch. You could just sit and do everything from the comfort of your seat. I think this would lead to an even higher obesity rate in America as physical movement would be even less. I guess I never thought about it, but this is a lazy man’s power, which makes it so appealing.
4. The power to create FIRE

#4: Fire
This is for the pyromaniacs out there. Everyone loves building a fire and seeing how things burn. You’ve sat around a campfire with friends and thrown aerosol cans in it just to watch it explode. This is what makes this power so appealing; fire could be started everywhere. Has a smoker ever asked you for a light? Well now you have one. A little snap of the finger, and they’re back to filling their lungs with tar. Ok, that’s not a great reason to have it, but when you get your food at a restaurant and it’s cold, you don’t have to send it back and eat your warmed up spit-burger. Just a snap of the finger, and you’re eating your food, spit-free.
