With all the changes taking place at West Texas A&M University, The Prairie has taken on some changes of its own.
For over 90 years, The Prairie has been the college newspaper. However, times changing, and print as we know it is dying. This year, The Prairie will be a magazine for WT with many new aspects involved.
Each week there will be the main story featured as the picture on the front cover with the story inside. There will also be an Opinion section each week where students are encouraged to take polls via texting and share their own opinions on a hot topic. Students are also encouraged to write in with their own issuese to be published and discussed.
This year there is a new secion, called Here or There, which is primatily a movie review telling students whether or not to stay “here” at home because the movie is not worth going “there” to see.
Many more news aspects are involved, and each week feature more new columns – BUT you will just have to keep reading to find out what all the NEW Prairie is about.
I, along with the staff, invite you to embrace the new changes and see what all there is to offer.
